About Sylvia

Artist Statement

Most of my quilts are traditional in technique. I love the grid, the block and the challenge of breaking the seamlines visually. I use a large variety of commercially printed fabric which give richness to the surface. Unexpected connections of lines and patterns happen, I consider my work a dialogue with the material.
